Bridgehead IT is deeply committed to supporting our veteran community. In 2024, we proudly supported the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association (CVMA) – Chapter 23-3 “The Alamo Chapter”. This an organization that our very own Nick Autry is a part of. They are dedicated to helping veterans by organizing events and raising funds to support various veteran-focused initiatives.
Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association (CVMA) – In their own words;
“We are an Association of Combat Veterans from all branches of the United States Armed Forces who ride motorcycles as a hobby. Our mission now is to support and defend those who have defended our country and our freedoms. Our focus is to help veteran care facilities provide a warm meal, clothing, shelter, and guidance, or simply to say, “Thank You” and “Welcome Home”.”

One of the efforts we supported was the “Alamo Rumble,” an annual gathering that brings together participants from across the community. Each year, the CVMA collects funds to gather food and supplies for this event.

During the Alamo Rumble, community members purchase BBQ and raffle tickets, with all proceeds going to organizations that benefit veterans in Texas. These organizations are carefully vetted by the CVMA to ensure they provide the most value to our fellow veterans. In 2024, the Alamo Rumble raised an impressive $30,000, which was donated to “Lone Star Paws 4 A Cause” and “Foundation 14,” two organizations dedicated to supporting veterans.
Lone Star Paws 4 A Cause is a San Antonio-based 501(c)(3) organization that provides no-cost service dog training for veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Their mission is threefold: to help veterans gain independence through service dog training, to educate the community on the rights of service dog teams, and to support veterans’ caregivers[1].
Foundation 14 is a charitable organization that focuses on empowering veterans by providing them with motorcycles. This initiative aims to give veterans a sense of freedom and community. Foundation 14 also organizes events like the “Ride for the Fallen,” which honors those who have served and sacrificed for the country[2][3].

Looking ahead, the Alamo Rumble will take place again in August this year. Fundraising efforts for food and supplies will begin in July, and we are excited to continue our support for this meaningful event. It is truly amazing to give back to those who have given so much for our freedom.
If you have any questions or would like to know how you can support their mission of “Vets Helping Vets” visit their website here. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of our veterans.
“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.”
